Wells Fargo Bank Savings Account Rates

When we last looked at Wells Fargo Bank savings account rates, there were three types of savings to choose from: Goal Savings, High Yield Savings, and Money Market accounts.  That hasn’t changed, but the rates have, so we here at Wells Fargo Interest Rates Reviews are bringing you this update.

The Goal Savings has changed somewhat and now has only a $100 minimum deposit to open ($25 minimum with direct deposit).  The Wells Fargo savings account rates on this are 0.05% annual percentage yield (APY).

The Wells Fargo High Yield Savings accounts have a $25,000 minimum opening deposit.  Their yield has lowered somewhat to 0.75% APY (or 0.85% with attached checking).  There are fees if your balance falls below the $25,000 minimum, but otherwise the account is free.

Finally, the Wells Fargo interest rates for money market accounts have not changed, with a $100 minimum to open (will incur fees) and a 0.05% APY.  If a $3,500 minimum daily balance or a $75 automatic deposit/transfer is attached, the fees are waived and the bonus APY jumps to 0.15%, as before.

All of these accounts are available right now at Wells Fargo, though these Wells Fargo savings account rates can change at any time.  All accounts at Wells Fargo are FDIC insured.
