It has been quite a while since we reviewed the Wells Fargo savings account rates and so, we will be taking a peek into the updated rates in this article. This is part of our series of reviewing the Wells Fargo interest rates of different products. As we all know, Wells Fargo has become much stronger after its merger with Wachovia Bank. The products and services offered by the bank have improved, in terms of features as well as its reach. These products are offered to customers who are located across the length and breadth of the country.

There are three kinds of Wells Fargo savings accounts and they are Wells Fargo Goal Savings account, Wells Fargo money market savings account and Wells Fargo High Yield Savings account. Other than savings account, they also have other savings products like CDs. Each of these savings accounts comes with a different set of features to cater to the needs of different kinds of customers who have varied financial goals.

The current Wells Fargo savings rates for a Wells Fargo Goal savings account is 0.05% APY.  The minimum opening balance is $100 or you can even start with as low as $25, provided you have a monthly automatic transfer set up. There is no monthly fee associated with this account if you have a minimum daily balance of $300 or if you have set-up an automatic transfer from any other Wells Fargo account. For all other cases, the monthly fee is $3. The Wells Fargo money market rates are 0.05% APY. In the case of Wells Fargo High Yield Savings, the rates are 0.05% for a balance of less than $25,000 and 0.30% for all other balances.
